who would take their kids on a 6000 mile car trip in 2010?

Well, it's time to start planning routes...i mean, stopping points.  Here's my first stab at mapquesting the thing.complete route start to finish.
Drew was asking the other night, are we going to camp and enjoy the scenery....what?  Oh well, at least some of our prime destinations are full of beautiful scenery, family and friends. The in between will be strictly super 8.
