Getting Ready to Go....

Well, five more days until lift-off.  I've finished off most of the household projects that are begging to be completed before school starts thus I can walk away from the part of my life that is absolute slavery to house, home, and suburban household/family engineering.  Woo-hoo! I can't wait to feel like I'm not a suburban housewife.  Hard to do with the minivan and kids in tow, but we'll see what we can muster for the next 35 days.  Just talked to Scott and he is now visiting Bill in Portland.  It's almost downright eery.  I mean, i'm now driving three thousand miles to see my Chicago friends in the town where I used to visit my grandmother?
